Ariadaha Monikuntala Balika Vidyalaya is one of the venture of philanthropic and social service rendered by Dakshineswar Ramakrishna Sangha of revered Sri Annada Thakur, the Founder of the Sangha. Ariadaha Monikuntala Balika Vidyalaya had been established in the year 1967 as Junior High School. In the year 1996 it had been affiliated by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education as High School, vide code no-B1-213. Later on, in the year 2002 the said institute had been recognized by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education as Higher Secondary School, vide code no-03361.

The aim of the institute is to fulfill the basic learning needs of all children especially orphans in an inclusive school environment with an active participation of the community. Inspired by the ideals of Shri Ramkrishna Paramhansa and Shri Annada Thakur, this educational institute is hallowed by the memory of Monikuntala Devi, mother of the Sangha. Six hundred girls are rendered education free of costs up to class XII in this Higher Secondary School.

The well equipped Library in the Vidyalaya was inaugurated by Shri A.P.J Abdul Kalam, the then President of India. The concept of doing service with an ambition of integral child welfare has been adopted by this institute. The teachers of the institute aim to develop the qualities of the children so that they not only become educated but also develop good moral habits and patriotism.

Balika Ashram which is adjoining to the school provides accommodation to students of the age 6 to 18 years. The students are looked after by resident Bramhacharinies of the Ashram and they are safe and secure. The institute always pays attention for providing good food, cloth, pure drinking water, sanitation and toilet, primary medical first-aid care and includes the cleanliness as eon lived by Shri Mahatma Ghandhiji.
